The English Longbow has a long history, dating back to the 12th century. It has helped win many battles for the English and was a feared weapon of war. English Longbows are very simple in design, being a tapered stick with a D-shaped cross section which makes a smooth arc when drawn.
All Earthwood longbows are made to the strictest standards. Great care is put into every single aspect of each bow, from making sure the nocks are seated and glued perfectly to inletting the arrowpass seamlessly, and tillering to perfection before being finished with oil or varnish. All bows come with a cotton bow sock, certificate of authenticity and a 1 year guarantee. |

Step 1
Choose draw weight and draw length.
Maximum draw weights and lengths are 70lb and 30 inches respectively for most bows. Certain wood combinations can be made heavier than others, please enquire if you require a heavier bow than this.
Step 2
Choose number of laminates
- Bi-laminate with a belly and backing
- Tri-laminate with Belly, core and backing
- Quad-laminate with belly, 2 cores and backing
- Self bow of yew
Step 3
Choose the wood for each laminate.
