Welcome to Earthwood bows, specialists in traditional archery

Here at earthwood bows we specialise in archery equipment for the discerning traditional archer. All bows are handcrafted from the highest quality woods, tillered to perfection and finished with beauty, longevity and practicality in mind.

All bows are lovingly crafted in a small workshop located near the historic Naseby battle site.

At earthwood bows, we noticed that it was very hard to find a bowyer who makes longbows without using animal products. We feel that people who wish to lead a vegetarian lifestyle should be able to enjoy the art of traditional archery so we have made some vegitarian options avaliable. These include wooden 'horn style' nocks and artificial leather. Vegetarian options are denoted by a (v) sign.

We offer some finished bows (see the “bows for sale section“) but most are custom made to order. All bows come with a bow sock, string and a certificate of authenticity.

We also make custom arrows and accessories, which are avaliable at a discount when purchased with a bow.
